Bishops drawn from various Christian denominations have come together to celebrate 100 years since the establishment of the county name.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
During the celebration, it was revealed that 4,035 churches are currently registered in Bungoma County, highlighting the strong presence and growth of Christianity in the region terming it as the big game changer in the community morale.<\/div>\n

The clergy used the occasion to urge political and community leaders to promote unity, peace, and cohesion, emphasizing the need to serve the people without bias or discrimination.<\/div>\n

“We believe in team work leadership for prosperity”, they stated.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
They also called on leaders to work diligently for the welfare of all residents regardless of political or social differences,<\/div>\n
further they expressed their desire to see Bungoma County become a major producer of various raw materials, noting that good leadership and proper resource management would help boost the local economy and improve livelihoods.<\/div>\n

Speaking in the event, county boss applauded church leadership on the major role of shaping the country’s politics by uniting them stating that it’s a great milestone the county has achieved, he also requested all those in authority to work in line with the constitution.<\/div>\n

“Be the remote of your kids” said Lusaka.<\/div>\n
The Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka urged parents to remain vigilant and closely guide their children, reminding them that children are the future of the county, the nation, and the world at large.<\/div>\n

“Don’t use all your money in unnecessary things, remember schools are to be reopened January 2026”\u00a0 \u00a0 Lusaka insisted on parents to give priority to their children and also boost their talents stating that it’s the only way to better their future life.<\/div>\n

Governor Lusaka also cautioned road users to exercise extra care during this festive season, especially as the country continues to mourn the death of former Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo, who passed away following a road accident.<\/div>\n

Additionally, the governor noted that Bungoma County has made significant strides in development, citing progress across various departments within the county government.<\/div>\n
