Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has eaten\na humble pie and apologised to Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia\nMudavadi for disrespecting him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is after the maverick Senator dumped\nMudavadi and started dancing to ODM leader Raila Odinga\u2019s tunes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the weekend, Malala differed sharply\nwith Raila over the controversial revenue sharing formula currently in the Senate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Raila even threatened to de whip him of his deputy minority seat in the\nSenate if he does not tore the line and\nsupport the formula that if passed will see ASAL counties losing billions of\nshillings as compared to what they are currently getting from the exchequer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Malala while attending a requiem mass of\nthe fallen Church of God Archbishop Dr Byrum Makokha in South B on Tuesday said\nthat he is seeking for forgiveness before embarking on the journey of uniting\nLuhya youth ahead of the 2022 polls. <\/p>\n\n\n\nANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala<\/em><\/strong> <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
“I know I made a mistake to my political father Musalia Mudavadi by\nhurling unprintable insults to him. I am asking for forgiveness and the only\nthing I want is blessings from my party leader,\u201d said Malala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Malala also thanked Mudavadi for standing\nin solidarity with him two weeks ago when sleuths from the Directorate of\nCriminal Investigations (DCI) came to arrest him at his Kitengela home at 3am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNashukuru sana kwa baba yangu wa kisiasa Musalia\nMudavadi, regardless of our political differences he made a phone call to me ,\nhe made a phone call to our family akasema mimi nimesimama na familia ya Malala\nhata kama hatuelewani , am praying for your son , am praying for your family\nmember, and I want to thank you for this,\u201d said Malala.<\/p>\n\n\n\nKakamega Senator Cleophas Malala addressing the media 0n November 16, 2019 when he dared ANC party to expel him saying he was ready for a by-election<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Malala also advised nominated MP Godfrey\nOsotsi to swallow his pride and follow suit in apologising to Mudavadi too. \u201cI\nwant to hold your hand, don\u2019t be afraid, don\u2019t be embarrassed, gather the\nconfidence that I gathered and I can assure you today that our future is\nbright.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Musalia Mudavadi led party in November\nlast year suspended the senator from the party and summoned him for\ndisciplinary but did not honour the summonses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was to answer to charges of working with Raila Odinga\u2019s ODM party. The\ndisciplinary committee also wanted Malala to respond to utterances that were\nperceived to be insults targeting Mr. Mudavadi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ANC national disciplinary committee said they had suspended the senator\nfor donning rival ODM\u2019s cap and drummed up support for the Orange party\u2019s\ncandidate against them during the Kibra parliamentary by-election on October\n27, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\nNominated MP Godfrey Osotsi <\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAfter careful reflection and deliberation, ANC has decided to take\nnecessary disciplinary action against this member (Senator Malala) on grounds\nthat his conduct seriously offends not only ANC party laws but Statute laws as\nwell,\u201d Committee Chair Yare Mohammed said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Malala dared them to expel him from the party saying he was ready for a by-election\nand that the party had been hijacked by individuals who are self-centered and\nyet they don\u2019t have the capacity to run the party. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s evident there is no internal democracy in the party, there are no\nvalues as inculcated in the party constitution but what is there is witch-hunt\nand petty jealous informing decisions held by the party organs,\u201d said Malala on\nNovember 16, last year at Gold Hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was accompanied by Kakamega County ODM deputy chairman, Lucas Radoli,\nButali\/Chegulo MCA Kevin Mahelo (Jubilee), Shirere MCA David Ikunza (ODM),\nEsumeiya\/Shinoi\/Shikomari MCA Boniface Akosi (ODM) and Kakamega County Ford\nKenya delegates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
