Kimilili Mp Pledges To Revive Key Dev’t Projects Once Elected Bungoma Governor

Bungoma County residents have been assured of renewed efforts to revive stalled development projects aimed at improving livelihoods and reducing hunger.
Speaking in Mayanja Kibuke in Bumula, Kimilili Mp Didmus Barasa promised to revive key projects once given the opportunity to serve as their governor in 2027.

With a strong focus on agriculture, especially maize farming, to address food shortages in the region.
Barasa specifically pledged to revive the milk processing factory in Webuye that was initiated by a former President Moi but has remained non-functional for years.
He noted that restoring the factory will greatly benefit local farmers and boost the dairy sector.
He added that the project will also support school feeding programs and improve maternal nutrition. Barasa promised to reintroduce milk distribution initiatives for primary school learners and nursing mothers.
He further stated that once operational, the dairy project will ensure mothers receive free milk for up to six months after giving birth, while school children benefit from improved nutrition.
