Fans of Manchester City and Chelsea erupted in ecstatic celebrations last night after Manchester City was crowned EFL Cup champions, following a convincing 2-0 victory over Arsenal at Wembley Stadium.
Football lovers who packed Bridgestone, a popular joint in Amagoro, were treated to an entertaining encounter, as City capitalized on late chances to deny Arsenal the coveted silverware on a disappointing night for the Gunners.
Despite the setback, Arsenal remain firmly in control of the English Premier League title race, sitting nine points ahead of their closest challengers, Manchester City, who still have a game in hand. The North London side now needs to win at least four of their remaining seven matches to secure their first league title since 2004.
Arsenal supporters, though disappointed, expressed optimism about their title ambitions.

Ignatius Ichodo – Arsenal fan:
“We lost 2-0, and we accept it. But we won’t lose hope. We are still chasing bigger trophies, especially the EPL. We are ahead, and we believe the title will not slip away this time. The only tough match remaining is against Man City. We must stay focused.”
He also blamed tactical decisions for the defeat: “The coach made premature substitutions, and City punished us with two late goals.”
Moses Enarach – Arsenal fan:
“To our fellow fans, don’t lose hope. The EPL trophy is within reach. The Carabao Cup is a smaller competition—we accept the loss and move forward. This defeat will motivate us to finish strong in the league.”
Chelsea supporters who followed the match shared mixed reactions.
Fred Emoit – Chelsea fan:
“I backed Man City to win because of their coach’s experience in big matches. However, I don’t see them catching Arsenal in the league. The gap is too big. Arsenal are also strong contenders for the FA Cup.”
Evans Karani – Chelsea fan:
“As a Chelsea fan, I admit the EPL title is likely heading to Arsenal this season, even though I supported Man City in the Carabao Cup final.”
With the cup final now settled, attention shifts back to the Premier League, where Arsenal will be eager to turn their strong position into long-awaited glory.
