AFC Leopards have bolstered their attacking lineup by signing promising striker Andrew Waswa from Sofapaka FC, sealing the deal just before the transfer window closed.
The 21-year-old forward, versatile enough to play as a striker or wide on the flanks, marks Ingwe’s first acquisition in the January window.
This move comes amid a competitive Kenyan Premier League season, where AFC Leopards recently climbed to third after a victory over Ulinzi Stars.
Waswa, a Bungoma native and a son to businessman and politician Lendrix Waswa, with a knack for goals, had been a target in a heated race among clubs.

Fans are buzzing about his potential impact, though no Harambee Stars call-up has surfaced yet.
In a social media congratulatory post, Andrews father, Hon Joseph Waswa penned, _’Congratulations my son-Andrew Waswa for making me proud as your father. Joining the Mighty AFC Leopards makes me relieved, since time immemorial AFC team has been a Luhya dominated team, make your dreams come true through showcasing your soccer skills._
The sky is the limit for Andrew! Congratulations our son!
