Korosiondet Health Centre Set for Major Facelift, Named County Anti-Malaria Hub

Governor Kenneth Lusaka has launched the facelift and general upgrade of Korosiondet Health Centre in Lwandanyi, Sirisia Sub-County, in a move aimed at strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery.

Speaking during the launch, Governor Lusaka said the upgraded facility will serve as a central hub for the county’s end-malaria campaign, noting that malaria continues to pose a serious health risk to residents in the area.

He emphasized that the project is designed to directly benefit local communities by improving access to quality and affordable healthcare services.

“The upgrade of Korosiondet Health Centre will not only improve service delivery but will also be a key centre in our campaign to end malaria in this region. Universal healthcare remains a top priority for my administration,” Lusaka said.

On the political front, the governor urged residents to support President William Ruto’s re-election, saying the President’s development agenda aligns with the county’s healthcare goals.

“President Ruto means well for this country, and his leadership is focused on improving the lives of ordinary Kenyans. I urge you to continue supporting his development agenda,” he added.

The Korosiondet Health Centre facelift forms part of Bungoma County’s broader strategy to modernize health infrastructure, enhance disease prevention, and bring essential medical services closer to the people.
