WIDOW WINS POTRACTED BATTLE TO BURY HER HUSBAND PASTOR JACOB SUDI

By Reuben Olita

A widow of the late pastor domiciled in Kocholia, Malaba South Ward, has won a protracted battle to bury her husband.

Pastor Jacob Sudi of International Fellowship Church Kocholya died on October 20, in his Kocholya residence, after developing breathing challenges.

His death degenerated into a deep controversy with the deceased widow Grace Sudi and their children insisting that the late Sudi should be buried in his Kocholya residence as per his will.

On the other hand, the deceased brothers stayed put insisting their late brother should be buried at the ancestral land in Dulienge village in Bukhayo North/Walatsi ward in Nambale County.

With the controversy raging unabated, IFC Kakamega Archdeacon Raphael Buluma travelled to Kocholia to solve the impasse.

After extensive deliberations, both the immediate family and the extended family came to a mutual agreement regarding this important decision.

The family of the late pastor has made arrangements for his burial to take place at Kocholya on November 7, 2025. The service will begin at 12:00 noon.

Let’s all come together and give our beloved pastor Jacob Sudi a befitting send-off,” the two families said after striking mutual agreement.
