Nalondo Model Health Centre, Four Others Receive Water Tanks From ‘Water Steps’

The ministry of health and sanitation has received a boost from Water Steps, a Non governmental organization after it donated five water tanks to Nalondo model Health centre in West Nalondo ward and four other health facilities.

The 5,000 litres water tanks will help in the storage and provision of clean and safe water to five health facilities in Kabuchai and Webuye West Sub Counties.

 

While officially receiving the equipments, the County sanitation CHMT member Micah Nyairo lauded the health and sanitation CECM Madam Carolyne Makali, Chief Officer Dr Magrina Mayama and CDH Dr Caleb Wanambisi for their concerted Efforts in attracting Water steps to aid ‘Our health facilities’.

“Water Steps is a nice partner, we would like them to provide water tanks to all health facilities across the County so that our people can access clean and safe water for use,” he said.

 

Nalondo Model Health Centre, Kabuchai health centre, Mukhweya, Luanda and Milani dispensaries in Kabuchai and Webuye West Sub Counties respectfully are the beneficiaries of the project.

He stated that the provision of water tanks for sanitation purposes will help in eliminating neglected and tropical diseases and as well as provision of water for domestic use.

 

Humphrey Muchuma, the Water Steps country director affirmed his commitment in working with the ministry of health to provide water tanks to health facilities across the County.

Present were Kabuchai Sub County Hospital MOH Dr.Graham Masika, Webuye West Sub County MOH Dr. Edward Simiyu among other key stakeholders.
