Bungoma County is among the five devolved units currently hosting the Presidential Communications Service (PCS) in documenting ongoing works by the Second Kenya Informal Settlements Improvement Project (KISIP2).
The National Project Coordinating team (NPCT) accompanied the State House media crew for the exercise expected to culminate into a production of a 15-minute documentary.

The County Coordinating team led by the Chief Officer Housing, Urban Development and Municipalities CPA. Dr. Rashid Fwamba and the County Coordinator Wellington Sindani, took the team on the tour of Mjini informal settlement scheme where KISIP2 projects are being implemented.
The PCS and NPCT got the first hand information from beneficiaries through indepth interviews.
Similar exercise is expected to take place in Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Bungoma and Nandi for the first phase.
In Bungoma, the team took their strategic time between 6.00 p.m β 9.30 p.m of the visit where they focused mainly on erected floodlights being the focal point as it has reduced insecurity and increased business hours in Mjini informal settlement scheme.

PCS team had formally requested to undertake documentation of some selected slum upgrading works by KISIP2 in informal settlements across some participating counties in line with Kenya Kwanza Administrationβs *Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA)*.
The exercise majored on interviewing beneficiaries, focusing on impact to residents.
The recorded content will be aired through a programme dubbed; *Delivering the Plan* which airs on State-owned Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) every *Thursday at 6:40 PM (EAT)* and subsequently be uploaded in all State House Social Media handles and website.

KISIP2 projects are funded by the World Bank, Kenyan government though the State Department of Housing and Urban Development through Bungoma County government and implemented by the Countyβs Department of Housing, Urban Development Municipalities
