Malava Member of Parliament, Malulu Injendi, was laid to rest today in an emotional funeral ceremony attended by top national leaders.
Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka eulogized the late legislator as a bold and strategic leader who never shied away from taking political risks.
Speaking during the funeral service, Governor Lusaka described Injendi as a calculative politician who often swam against the tide but always emerged victorious.
βHe was a decisive leader who never hesitated to stand by his beliefs, even when it meant going against popular opinion,β Lusaka said.
The governor called on President William Ruto to honor Injendiβs legacy by ensuring that all development projects initiated in Malava Constituency are completed.
βFinishing the projects he started will be the best way to pay tribute to his visionary leadership,β he added.
The funeral brought together a host of high-profile dignitaries, including President William Ruto and the Speakers of both the National Assembly and the Senate, among other leaders, who paid their last respects to the fallen MP.
