Banja Ward MCA Collins Anyanje Ayugu has intensified his bid for the Hamisi parliamentary seat with a Ksh 400,000 donation to churches in Muhudu and Shiru wards, vowing to champion faith-based development bill if elected.
Addressing congregants, the two-term MCA underscored the importance of supporting religious institutions, saying, “My main aim is to ensure places of worship are beautified since this is where God dwells.”
In a bold policy proposal, Ayugu announced plans to introduce a Religious Funding Bill, seeking structured financial support for churches, mosques, and other places of worship.

“When elected, I will table a Religious Funding Bill to ensure our religious institutions receive the support they deserve,” he declared.
Ayugu also assured residents of his commitment to transparency and fiscal accountability, citing constituencies like Kiharu and Embakasi as models for effective public resource management.
The MCA is gearing up for a tough battle against incumbent MP Charles Gimose, a three-term legislator. With faith-based initiatives and governance reforms at the core of his campaign, Ayugu’s candidacy is expected to spark debate in Hamisi’s political landscape.
