Thousands of residents of Sitikho ward in Webuye West constituency have benefited from a free medication.
The medical camp organized by a parliamentary aspirant in 2027 Hon. Joseph Lendrix Waswa so sick residents diagnosed and given free drugs.
Speaking during the event, Waswa stated that he had been approached to help residents after a majority of them failing to finance their own medication.
He also registered over 1,700 people on Social Health Authority (SHA) to enable them receive free medication in future.
The medical camp was held at Sitikho dispensary.
Waswa used the opportunity to shade light on the importance of having a disease free community for the sake of development.
He also directed that all critical cases be referred to Webuye County Hospital for specialized treatment.
He also announced that those requiring surgeries and other urgent attention will be assigned special doctors.
Waswa also called upon those who had missed a chance today at Sitikho chapter to find their way to Bokoli on Wednesday for check ups.
