A journalist in Bungoma has embarked on a serious sensitization program to boda bodas riders to help curb road accidents during this festive season.
Mr. Ogganya Francisco Xavier has been distributing reflectors to boda boda operators ostensibly to curb road accidents this festive season.
a former Sulwe fm radio presenter and currently a Corporate Communications Officer at Kenya Industrial Property Institute under state department of industry is making inroads in Mukuyuni ward in Kabuchai constituency aiming to dislodge the current MCA from power in 2027.
“The festive season often sees increased travel with boda bodas being the most common means of transport in our region, to enhance road safety during this period and beyond,” he said.
Ogganya has prioritized issuing reflectors to boda boda riders across the ward. This initiative aims to reduce accidents and promote safety for all road users.
In addition to road safety, Ogganya has announced the launch of the ‘Mukuyuni Ward Well-Wishers Tournament’ under his patronage.
He says the tournament will provide a platform to keep young people engaged during the holiday season while nurturing their talents in sports and teamwork.
“Safety and youth empowerment go hand in hand. These initiatives are just the beginning of what we can achieve together for Mukuyuni,” said Ogganya.
He touted as the frontrunner to dislodge a long serving MCA Mr.Meshack Simiyu alias Museveni who has been a Councillor and now an MCA for two terms.
