President William Ruto today inspected the ongoing construction of Phase 2 at Masinde Muliro Stadium in Kanduyi.
During his visit, the President directed the contractor responsible for the stadium’s second phase to expedite its completion by December.
He emphasized that the stadium would be upgraded to international standards, including well-fitted canopy shades for spectators and enhanced security lighting to support a 24-hour economy.
In addition, President Ruto announced plans to rehabilitate the Kanduyi Airstrip and develop the area into a city, including the construction of more affordable housing units.
Governor Kenneth Lusaka lauded President Ruto for his outstanding leadership in fostering national unity through a broad-based government approach.
Lusaka emphasized the importance of embracing inclusivity in governance, urging the Western region to support the President’s vision for a united Kenya.
“We are witnessing true leadership in President Ruto, who is not only focused on development but also on bringing Kenyans together,” Governor Lusaka stated.
