Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on youths to embrace dialogue, asserting that their concerns have been clearly communicated and the government must now respond.
Speaking at Kibuk Girls in Mt. Elgon during a fundraiser for the schoolโs infrastructural development, Lusaka acknowledged the legitimacy of the grievances raised by Gen Z protesters, sparked by the contentious 2024 tax bill.
He emphasized the need for constructive conversations to address these issues effectively.
โWhile the right to protest is fundamental, open dialogue could pave the way for more effective and lasting solutions,โ Lusaka stated.
The event, presided over by the Presidentโs Advisor on Womenโs Affairs, Harriet Chiggai, and attended by First Lady Dr. Margaret Makelo, highlighted Lusakaโs appeal for mutual understanding and resolution through dialogue.
