Lusaka To Appoint Directorate Sports And Purchase Sports Bus



Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has assured the Sports teams representing the County Government at the 9th edition, Kenya Inter County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) that the County is in the process of appointing a directorate incharge of Sports and purchasing of a Sports Bus for easy operation during gaming activities.

Speaking on the 3rd day in the ongoing Inter-County games at Kisumu National Polytechnic, Kisumu County, Lusaka applauded Bungoma teams for emerging victorious in the first quarter, while pointing out the role of devolution in fostering national cohesion and intergration as Counties celebrate cultural diversity through sporting activities.

“We recognize the gallant efforts by County Governments to uphold and promote cohesion through sporting activities. As the County Government of Bungoma, we have plans to empower and boost our Gender, Youths and Sports department to enable smooth operation. We have set a side money from the budget towards the purchase of a Sports Bus. Am also going to appoint a director in charge of sports to streamline and enhance service delivery in this department, ” Said Lusaka.

Governor Lusaka was accompanied by Lwandanyi Ward MCA, Hon.Tonny Barasa, CECM Gender, Youths and Sports Nancy Kibaba, CECM Trade Caroline Khalayi, senior County officials among others.
