Early pacesetters Kang’elemuge FC suffered a setback after being stunned 1-0 by TN Legends in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Teso North Sub Branch League played at Malaba Stadium on Sunday.

The lone goal of the match was scored by Bernard Omonya in the 17th minute. The win saw Legends move to 15th position on the log with 10 points from 11 matches. They have won three matches, drawn one and lost seven.

Despite the hard-fought victory, Legends are still lying in relegation zone. They are ahead of Adanya Wembe which lies in 16th position with seven points from 11 matches. Kakurikit Bullets are last with four points from 10 games.

The loss was a bitter pill to swallow for Kang’elemuge which has now surrendered top league placing to Kabkara which trounced Koruruma 3-0 at Kabkara Primary School.

Kabkara have now taken the lead with 24 points from 12 matches. They have seven matches, drawn three and lost two. Kang’elemuge are second with 22 points from 10 games. They have triumphed in seven games, drawn one and lost two.

Pool FC saw their hopes of moving to second spot dented by Kocholia which beat them 2-1 in Kocholia with Haron Omunyin and Dickson Ong’iro accounting for their goals. Pool’s consolation goal was scored by Dalmas Imojir.

However, Pool retained third position with 21 points, the same as Aboloi FC but which are behind them due to inferior goal difference.
Kocholia’s victory saw them move to fifth position with 20 points from 12 matches.

Tom Nalianya scored a hat trick to lead his team Akobwait Stars to a 5-1 demolition of Black Stars at Akobwait Primary School.

Nalianya scored a hat trick in the 15th, 46th and 77th minutes with Caleb Otenge netting a brace in the 36th and 92nd minutes. Black Stars scored their goal through Stephen Otinga.

The huge victory saw Akobwait leapfrog to sixth position with 19 points, one point ahead of Homeboys which lie 7th on the log. Black Stars are 8th with 17 points.

In other matches Akolong beat Adanya 1-0 with Mark Isokat scoring the lone goal in the 58th minute.

Okuleu beat Korisai 2-1 at Okuleu Primary Schook. Okuleu Scored through James inyait in the 10th minute and Elvis Omuse in the 30th minute. Korisai lone goal was scored by Jackson Omasaja in the 7th min.
