A war of words has engulfed between Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa and Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa.

A vicious political battle looms between the two leaders after Barasa threw a veiled jab at the CS for allegedly undermining ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula.

Apparently, the vocal Kimilili lawmaker has openly chewed bones with CS Wamalwa and warned him to keep off the affairs of the Kenya Kwanza coalition led by DP Ruto.

The genesis of Barasa’s attacks is echoed on the remarks that CS Wamalwa made recently concerning the Kenya Kwanza’s power sharing agreement that was unveiled recently.

The CS laughed off the Kenya Kwanza pact and pointed out how ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counter part Moses Wetangula seem to have been shortchanged by DP Ruto.

“The power sharing agreement that was unveiled showed Musalia being given a role of a prime minister,a position that doesn’t exist in our constitution,” said CS Wamalwa at a recent political jamboree.

Hon.Barasa quickly read mischief in those sentiments which has waded into a thick murk of anger within the precincts of DP Ruto’s hit men.

Hon.Didmus Barasa wants to leave no chance for CS Eugene as far as muddling the political space of Bungoma county and western region is concerned.

The MP wants to remain relevant and tighten his grip on the fundamental issues pertaining the Luhya politics.

Being an ardent lieutenant of DP Ruto’s UDA party under the Kenya Kwanza coalition, he wants to polish his role in DP Ruto’s kitchen cabinet.

He wants to ensure that no anti-Ruto, anti-Mudavadi and anti-Wetangula attacks go unanswered.

The MP is thus determined to be on the front line as far as silencing the DP’s political nemesis is concerned.

He has accelerated the attacks on Eugene because he doesn’t want the CS to overtake him in terms of popularity and political musculinity moreso in his home turf.

As the adage goes, politics is purely a popularity contest.

Despite not holding an elective seat,CS Wamalwa enjoys a cordial friendship with president Uhuru Kenyatta and his cabinet docket is quite influential.

In addition, the entrance of the DAP-K party which is led by CS Eugene into the western political arena has spewed jitters amongst the relevant political nemesis.

Thus, Didmus is much keen to dislodge a possible political meltdown for Kenya Kwanza agenda in Western Kenya.

He wants his boss(DP Ruto), to see him taking on Kenya Kwanza’s adversaries in a bid to counter an insurgency by a section of politicians coalescing around the DP’s rivals.

“I have respected you the Hon.Eugene Wamalwa for so many years, but you have overstepped your mandate. Please keep off the affairs of Kenya Kwanza. You are not the caliber of a person who can engage Wicliffe Musalia Mudavadi and Hon.Moses Wetangula,” Barasa noted in a video he sent to the media on Friday.

The MP wants to run errands so as to balance the proliferation of lobbies amongst his supporters so as to prevent them from being swayed by the waves created by CS Wamalwa’s comments.

As a matter of fact, Hon.Didmus Barasa is much keen to strengthen his loyalty to the Kenya Kwanza’s bigwigs led by DP Ruto, Mudavadi and Wetangula.
