Trans Nzoia County woman representative Janet Nangabo has reiterated her commitment to defend her seat in the August 9 General elections through an independent ticket.
Nangabo who was dropped by the Democratic Action Party (DAP K) in favour of Phanice Khatundi said she is engaging the electorate to seek their backing.
“I have moved on from the injustice that I was subjected to by DAP. I will forge ahead with my re-election bid since what matters is not the party but an individual, She spoke at the burial in Sikhendu.
Nangabo cautioned residents of Trans Nzoia against falling for tricks by some aspirants who are acting as angels yet they have nothing to offer.
“Don’t fall prey to tricks by leaders who are self centered and are only hiding under their political parties to act like they mean we’ll for Trans Nzoia,” she said.
This comes at a time when Ford Kenya leaders in Trans Nzoia led by its secretary Joseph have taken issue with a move by DAP to unfairly lock out Nangabo who is a widow.
