Amani National Congress (ANC) leaders in Bungoma County have called on the Kenya Kwanza gubernatorial candidate Ken Lusaka to campaign for all candidates and stop focusing on Ford Kenya candidates alone.
Addressing the press in Kanduyi on Friday, the ANC County Chairman Martin Waliaula stated that Kenya Kwanza is a nice coalition that is going to take the leadership of this country and the county but there should be harmonization of issues.
“We are demanding that Lusaka campaigns for his candidature alone and support for all candidates from various parties within the coalition, he should not impose certain candidates on the electorates, we are watching him keenly, ” he said.
Waliaula added, “For him to win in Bungoma County, let him consolidate all his votes but campaign for all Kenya Kwanza candidates from the women reps, MPs and MCAs instead of campaigning for FK candidates alone,” he said.
He also called on Lusaka to consider picking a deputy governor and a woman rep from ANC for them to have a formidable force to reckon with and the one that can send the incumbent Governor Wycliffe Wangamati home.
“Now that Ford Kenya party has picked Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula has the Senatorial candidate and Lusaka as the next governor, ANC also demands for the the DG and woman rep post to have a nice face,” he said.
ANC woman rep candidate Roselinder Simiyu called on the FK candidate Catherine Wambilianga to stop declaring herself a winner.
“She must plan to leave office, she has done little to the voters, she has failed the county and their is little to show, let her understand that I am the next woman rep,” she said.
A Sirisia parliamentary aspirant Munoko Was Mallabah asked senate speaker Ken Lusaka to stop imposing certain leaders but campaign for all KKA candidates.
“Let him not impose political virgins on the voters, let him campaign for his seat and also introduce other candidates within KKA to fight for themselves instead of mentioning only FK candidates,” he said.
