As the clock ticks towards the August 9 general elections, a number of youths have plunged into politics and are giving the incumbents a run for their money.
Such youths include an entrepreneur Rodgers Siboe alias Roja Villa who is giving Kanduyi Mp Wafula Wamunyinyi sleepless nights.
Siboe (36) who was born and brought up in Bungoma town is a known businessman who has ventured into hotel and transport industry.
Speaking to Horizon News on Monday, Siboe noted that he plunged into politics to help Kanduyi residents by developing the constituency that has lagged behind in terms of development.
“Wamunyinyi has been in politics for over 20 years and has nothing to show, let him retire peaceful and leave the youths lead the region,” he said
He added, “I got the interests of Kanduyi people at heart, if elected I will change their fortunes through prudent use of NG-CDF which hasn’t done much since the incumbent has failed us,”.
Siboe explained that he is ready to serve Kanduyi residents having done so much projects for them including construction of water boreholes and participated in community empowerment projects.
“Youths are heartbeat of any nation, they play and important role that needs to be emulated, this is the reason why I am donating myself to Kanduyi people and I want to serve them well,” he noted.
Siboe retired at the age of 34 from the banking sector to venture into business and transport.
He states that he stands for hope and is hopeful that if elected Kanduyi residents will enjoy many development projects which he will launch that will cater for their well being.
Another youth Wafula Wakoli is also vying for the same seat and will have to square it out with an advocate John Makali and Wafula Wambanda in the Ford Kenya nominations.
