United States Agency for International Development(USAID) Deputy Mission Director, Bert Ubamadu has appreciated the work done by the staff of Busia County Referral Hospital (BCRH).
Addressing the staff and the Hospital Management Team after the tour of the facility, Mr Ubamadu said the staff are dedicated to their work and that should not be taken for granted.
“Busia is one of the most important counties for us. USAID will continue supporting the sector in meeting its objectives,” he said, adding that service delivery is key in any organization.
The USAID team toured the Aids Information Centre, HIV testing for pregnant mothers, Mother and Child Health/ Family Planning, Enrolment area, AMPATH Comprehensive Care Clinic and East African Laboratory.
Chief Officer in the Governor’s Office, Dr Ezekiel Okwach thanked BCRH staff for their zeal in executing their duties, urging them to serve county residents with dedication.
“Health has no boundaries, noting that despite financial constraints, patients from across the border seeking services should be attended to without discrimination,” he said.
