Itoya’s three match unbeaten record in the Football Kenya Federation Busia County League was brought to a halt by Muungano who beat them 1-0 in the match played at Buyama Primary School.
The lone goal that ended Itoya’s clean sheet since the start of the league four weeks ago was scored by Kelvin Odhiambo in the 90th minute from a blockbuster 20 metres away that beat Itoya goalkeeper, Iddi Suleiman all the way.
The hero Odhiambo turned villain when he was sent off by Centre Referee, Wycliffe Omondi for his abusive language to match officials.He had earlier been cautioned.
At Igula Primary School, Buradi stunned hosts Western Kings 4-2 after trailing 1-2 at half time.
Western Kings were the first to find the back of the net after 13th minutes through
Markmilan Mugeni. Kevin Wanyama levelled in the 21st minute before Micha Ouma restored Western Kings lead in the 43rd minute.
Buradi made it 2-2 in the 59th minute when Centre Referee, Daniel Anderson awarded a penalty that was converted by Willys Oduory. Wilberforce Bwire netted the third goal in the 65th minute with Oduory scoring a brace and the fourth for his team moments later.
At Nyakwaka Primary School Young Tiger beat visiting Nambale FC 1-0 with Dennis Opondo scoring the lone goal of the match two minutes into injury time.
Zone B match between Mabale united vs Spiders FC at Mabale Primary School Zone A encounter PittingTigers against Lupida at Chamasiri primary were postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.
