Kang’elemuge and Adanya Football Clubs registered victories in the Football Kenya Federation Teso North Sub Branch League that entered its second week at the weekend.
Kang’elemuge ensured maximum points after beating arch-rivals Katakwa 1-0 with Martin Ekasiba scoring the lone goal of the match that was attended by FKF Teso North Sub County chairman, Victor Ochakala at Okuleu Primary School. They beat Kakurikit 1-0 in the first match.
Adanya emulated Kang’elemuge’s feat by trouncing Koruruma 3-1 at Adanya Primary School grounds to win back their confidence after losing their first match to Kabkara FC.
Festus Ipomai, Stephen Juma and Nelson Etyang netted for the winners with the losers who saw their unbeaten record shattered, netting their consolation goal through Ronald Nekera.
Kabkara won their second match in a row after beating hosts Aboloi 3-0 at Aboloi Primary School to maintain a clean sheet in the league.
The winners struck their goals through Levy Ndiema, Dan Kibet and Paul Kisiero to send signals of their unscathed progression.
In the other match of the one zone 17-team league, Kocholia beat Legends 6-5 in a high scoring match played at Kocholia Primary School play ground.
Sokopaka and Malaba Pool FC drew 1-1 while Black Stars won their second straight game, beating Korisai 2-0. Okuleu earned a walkover after Kakurikit failed to show up. Akobwait also earned free points after hosts Malaba Green Town failed to honour their fixture.
