‘Mjengo Man’ Wins Sh900,000 Vehicle In Grand Finale Of Chota Kuchota Na Khetias Supermarket


At first when he received the call from the organizers, he didn’t believe his eyes and thought that it was the normal tricks used by the known conmen.

However, the 35 year’s old construction site foreman better known as mjengo man from Luucho in Kabuchai constituency, Bungoma county trusted himself and boarded a motorbike to Bungoma town.

The Father of two accompanied by his fellow construction workers were received with joy by the organizers.

Augustine Nyongesa narrated how he used to shop once in a while at Khetias supermarket in Kanduyi market and wasn’t sure that he would win the top price in the grand finale.

Nyongesa won a Nissan cube vehicle worthy Sh900,000 at the end of the Chota kuchota na khetias grand finale which has been running for the last two months.

“I am very elated through winning this vehicle, I thank Khetias supermarket for making my dream come true, I never knew that one day I would be the owner of the such a vehicle,” said Nyongesa.

Khetias super market is the king of store chains owning four of the supermarkets in Bungoma town which include Euro, crossroads, Highway and Khetias supermarket Kanduyi.

Khetias also runs various supermarkets in Kitale, Busia, Kisumu, Eldoret, Thika, Naivasha and Nairobi City.

Khetias supermarkets marketing manager Fredrick Ochieng praised the winner for his trust in shopping with them.

He said that awarded gifts was meant to ensure that they attract residents into their shopping stores and it is a way of ensuring they bond together.

“As Khetias fraternity we encourage you to continue shopping with us and we will also continue awarding you with different gifts so that it creates a good working relationship between us,” he said.

Various goods worthy Sh5 million were won on Friday including four motorbikes, refrigerators, TV sets, School fees vouchers amongst others.
