Following the recent squabbles in Kenya Kwanza Alliance coalition in Bungoma County, Amani National Congress (ANC) party has come out and declared that it will Field Candidates in all elective seats.
The misunderstanding had hugely affected United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party aspirants with the sitting elected leaders having a field day of excitement.
UDA aspirants had decried being denied the chance to vie for various elective seats because of what they termed as Zoning despite them wasting time and resources selling the party ideologies to voters.
However, Bungoma County ANC officials have clarified that there will be no Zoning at all aspirants are free to vie for their preferred political seats.
Addressing the press on Thursday after meeting all aspirants vying on ANC party, the Bungoma County Chairman Martin Waliaula stated that zoning is unacceptable and all parties will have to field Candidates in any elective positions.
“We would like to inform all aspirants that we shall not be having zoning and ANC shall be fielding candidates in all the elective posts,” said Waliaula.
The official further explained that they had received defectors from ODM, Jubilee, Ford kenya, Kanu and wiper parties
He asked those people not registered to register in large numbers so that they can vote in their needed leaders.
“As Bungoma branch we support the Kenya kwanza coalition and will always stand with it,” said Waliaula.
