A 2007 presidential loser Nixon Kukubo has announced to battle it out for the same seat in this year’s general elections.

Kukubo says that he is the front runner in the next polls and will hand over a sounding defeat to all other aspirants who will compete him.

He also launched an attack on Azimio la Umoja and Earthquake leaders saying that they are unfit to lead this country.

Kukubo who says he will vie as an independent candidate, is optimistic of defeating both ODM leader Raila Odinga, UDA party leader DP William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi to become the president in the next polls.

Kukubo emerged last in the 2007 general elections after garnering 5,929 votes in which the former president Mwai Kibaki emerged the winner.

Addressing the press in Bungoma while launching the Mulembe Kingdom, Kukubo pointed out that owing to his political experience he has what it takes to lead Kenya in the next polls.

“All those leaders seeking Presidency are forming coalitions to hide their corruption dealings, am launching the Mulembe Kingdom so that I can use it to marshall enough votes from Western region, am optimistic of defeating all of them,” he said.

He pointed out that Raila and Ruto have both marshalled their communities to support them yet the Luhya leaders have not done so, hence he is working on having the Luhya community rally behind him.

He added, “If elected the head of state I will fight corruption and ensure Kenya is a corrupt free country, we cannot afford to elect corrupt leaders to lead us,”.Kukubo stated that he is unstoppable and will be in the ballot box by all means.

Born and raised in Bungoma County, Kukubo a former military officer noted that he will revive collapsed industries in the country and ensure all jobless youths are employed.

“Mumias sugar company, Pan paper factory, Malakisi ginnery have all collapsed, this has rendered our people jobless and the area economy has sunk to all time low, this all needs a leader who will revive them and am in position to do so owing to my track record,” said Kukubo.
