Health Institutions are set to receive drugs from Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) set to deliver them in a week’s time, Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong revealed yesterday.

Addressing mourners during the burial of businessman, Francis Owino Wanzala Emunyoto, 65, at Kaliwa village in Amukura Central Ward, the Governor said delay to procure drugs was attributed to budget technical hitch.

” I assure county residents that normalcy will return in our health facilities soon with delivery of the long awaited drugs,” H.E Ojaamong said, urging health institutions to utilize the drugs prudently.

On the forthcoming general elections, the County Chief said Busia as a county want to be in the next government. “The Rt Hon Raila Odinga and I have been out of Government for 25 years, thus the need to play our cards well and be in the next government.”

Former Matayos South Member of the County Assembly, Lucas Wakuloba told former Teso South Member of Parliament, Mary Emaase to swallow her pride and contest for the Women Representative position instead of MP Teso South.

In response, Emaase said there are enough contestants for the Women Rep seat, noting that she has opted to contest the MP seat on UDA ticket ” to complete on her pending projects.”
