Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has sent a Christmas message to County residents as they celebrate the Day Christians believe God sent His son Jesus for their salvation.
“I wish you all a merry Christmas and a prosperous 2022. Let us cultivate the spirit of helping the less fortunate in the society. As we mark this important day in our calendar, I am appealing to motorists to enforce the rules on the road to avoid more deaths on our roads. Safety on the roads during the festive season should be the cardinal rule,” he said.
He added: ” County residents should also be wary of the Coronavirus pandemic by observing the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization guidelines at all times to avoid another wave of the killer disease.”
The Governor urged leaders to put the interest of the people they serve first and to help the less fortunate in the society. He thanked the residents of Busia County for the prevailing peace and urged leaders to emulate that gesture as the Country gears for 2022 general elections.
