Wetang’ula: OKA to unveil its Presidential candidate In January 2022

One Kenya Alliance (OKA) is set to unveil its Presidential candidate by the end of January next year.


Addressing the press in Bungoma town on Friday, FK party leader Moses Wetang’ula revealed that all plans are complete to unveil its candidate by the end of January 2022.


“Forget about the naysayers who think that OKA is moving too slowly, good coalitions and good preparations for elections are never done in a hurry, we have promised Kenyans that by the end of January we will be unveiling our candidate,” he said.


The outfit is made up of Wetang’ula, Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Kanu boss Gideon Moi, Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka and Cyrus Jirongo.


“All of us are interested parties and we have picked a team that is working on unveiling the flag bearer, we will giving Kenyans an OKA candidate who will be carrying our flag in the next elections” said Wetang’ula.


The legislator called on Kenyans not fall victims of toxic politics that they are witnessing around of persons who are busy engaging in shouting matches against each other.


“OKA is focused on rejuvenating our economy, uniting the country, making sure that the country is at peace not only by itself but with its neighbours enshrining the East African community as the bedrock of our economic growth,” said Wetang’ula.


Meanwhile, Ford Kenya party is set to unveil its election board to conduct elections in 2022.
Wetang’ula stated that the lion party is now rejuvenated and ready to go.


“We are done with the party National Delegates Conference (NDC), we expelled enemies and we are now ready to go,” he said.


The Bungoma senator assured that nominations in Ford Kenya will be fair, free and open to help gain confidence from Kenyans. 


Wetang’ula noted that the party is very vibrant after getting the new officials including the new secretary general Chris Wamalwa.


The election board will vet all aspirants that will run on Ford Kenya to ensure they get credible candidates who will emerge winners during the next general election.


“I want to laud Ford Kenya fraternity for standing with the party through out the year during the difficult times from people of ill will, persons whose mission was to destroy the party and move on, they failed in their tracks and have since moved on and the party remains strong, vibrant and focused to the future,” he said.
