A Kimilili court released eleven students of Chesamisi boys high school in Kimilili Sub County on Sh1 million.
They were arraigned on Monday in a packed court and they pleaded not guilty to the offence of damaging the school property.
They were charged that on December 3, 2021 they damaged school property at the learning institution, stole school properties through a strike hence causing the breach of peace.
The students were arrested on Sartuday after they went on rampage and torched a dormitory worthy Sh7.5 million.
The suspects were arraigned and were all released on Sh1 million cash bail failure and failure to deposit the bond they were held at Kimilili police station Children’s section.
Kimilili law court magistrate Gladys Adhiambo said that they should be held at the police station awaiting the age assessment report before the mention of the case on December 20.
The case will be heard on January 25.
