The Chief Administrative Secretary, National Treasury and Planning, Hon. Eric Simiyu Wafukho, on behalf of CS, Ukur Yattani, officially opened a workshop at Kenya School of Government Kabete Campus.
The workshop was meant for inducting new economists and statisticians who were recruited by Treasury into public service recently.
The induction workshop will seek to integrate 194 young professionals recruited from across the country into the Public Service by taking them to through Government structures, operations, systems, policies, procedures, culture, values and work environment and requirements.
Other senior leaders who accompanied Wafukho at the opening of the induction workshop included PS Planning Saitoti Torome, PS Public Service Madam Mary Kimonye, EPS Madam Katherine Muoki, Director HRM &D Madam Mary Kemunto, DA Planning James Makori among others.
Wafukho is off to Egypt this afternoon to represent CS Ukur Yattani in attending Africa Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) High-Level Peer Review Forum on South-South Cooperation and Triangular Cooperation focused on building agile and resilient societies in Africa and the global South.
Expected at the meeting are government ministers from APRM Member States, development partners, diplomatic community, financial institutions, and APRM Secretariat leadership.
This engagement is coming just around the time when Kenya is scheduled to undergo Targeted Peer Review on the Third Medium Term Plan also referred to as the Big Four Agenda and whose achievements will be celebrated and lessons integrated into the Fourth Medium Term Plan set to run from 2023 to 2027.
