Bumula politician Jack Wamboka has pledged to support education once he is elected the area Mp in 2022.
Gracing a fundraiser where he contributed Sh50,000, Wamboka stated that education is an equaliser in the society and no child should miss it as a result of poverty.
The fundraiser which was held in Napara location, Kimaeti ward will help over 50 vulnerable students.
The event that was organized by Napara community stakeholders is meant to enable the community invest in the education of their children and change the area.
“I am a staunch supporter of education and will work hard in supporting vulnerable students so that they don’t drop out of school, education changes the community fortunes,” he said.
Wamboka who has been on the forefront championing for education through his Wanami Wamboka foundation says he will continue supporting them with his meagre resources.
A section of Bumula residents have lamented on what they termed as the skewed distribution of CDF bursaries that has seen many students miss out.
Wamboka promised to premise his leadership on education support for all without bias as is being witnessed.
“We can only change Bumula and our people’s lives by investing in education, it’s unfortunate that most students miss out on CDF while foreigners are awarded, this trend must be stopped by us registering as voters and investing our votes well,” said Wamboka.
