The recently launched Ondoa Nyasi na Wamboka programme in Bumula constituency has picked pace as the politician seeks to touch lives of the local populace.
Hon. Jack Wanami Wamboka’s team landed in Mukhuma area of Kabula ward in style where Mama Sylvia Okongo and Mr Joseph Acheka were the latest beneficiaries of his philanthropic services.
The family that had been living under the grass thatched house is now all smiles under the iron sheets.
During the event, Mama Sylvia was full of praise for helping her get a house.
“I want to appreciate Hon. Wamboka for helping me get a house. He came to our church and pastor Denis presented my case, he has honoured his pledge and I want to pray for his success and blessings so that he can continue helping other Bumula Residents,” said the jubilant Sylvia.
In 2018, Bumula Mp fundraiser to help construct houses for locals flopped and he was accused of swindling the all important ironsheets that would benefit his people including Sylvia.
On his part, Mzee Joseph Acheka lauded Wamboka for his generous help and remembering the family and promised to rally his people to stand with him so that he can continue touching more lives.
“I am very grateful, I hadn’t known that one day I would sleep under an iron sheet roof but with Wamboka around many poverty stricken people will have a smiling face,” he said.
The Housing pillar which is just among the 4 campaign pillars of Wamboka is meant to construct 100 houses to households across Bumula constituency.
Team Wamboka that spearheaded the Ondoa Nyasi initiative was led by Peter Makhwaya and Wangila Wabomba.
This weekend, the team will be launching an NHIF sponsorship program targeting over 3,000 beneficiaries, Biometric registration and Covid_19 vaccination to locals.
