OKA Leaders Rubbish A Story Published By This Local Media House


One Kenya Alliance has lashed out at Nation Newspaper for for writing distorting information about the Alliance.

Addressing the press in Mombasa Musalia Mudavadi -ANC party leader,Moses Wetang’ula -Ford Kenya and Kalonzo Musyoki of Wiper said that there was misinterpretation of facts by the local media house.

The newspaper headline was titled “Uhuru Corners OKA leaders to back Raila”.

Mudavadi stated that the media house fabricated its own story and published it without checking with those they were mentioning.

“We basically met with President Uhuru Kenyatta to discuss on Covid-19 issues and the head of state addressed the media over it, we never discussed anything else, it would have been captured in the press release,”.

He stated that Nation newspaper published lies that it manufactured purporting that it was OKA leaders who said.

“We condemn gutter press reporting with contempt it deserves, Nation Media should stop sinking low in publishing fake stories,” said Mudavadi.

He added, “Kenyans deserve verifiable and true information and not sanitized and twisted logic stories,”.

He said that they cannot be forced to support one person as a presidential candidature, no one asked nor even suggested that we support anybody for President.

He added, ” It is an international cardinal rule that a certain media house can support a certain candidate.

“Let the Nation Media Group come out clearly and support one of the Presidential candidates and let it be known to Kenyans,” said Mudavadi.

The ANC leader stated that it was an ethical for a top media house to report lies of what they think and not what leaders said.

“We didn’t come here to be boxed into a certain corner by any body but we came here to have a consultative meeting but not be forced into anything,” he said.
