The boy scored 411 marks at Nalondo CBM in Kabuchai in 2020 KCPE and was selected to join Kapsabet boys high school
A top Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidate in Bungoma County in 2020 was all smiles after he got this help.
The student topped in the country in the special category, pupils living with disabilities.
Kibet Ndiema (18) schooled at Nalondo CBM in Kabuchai constituency and scored 411 out of the possible 500 marks in the 2020 National Examinations.
It was a joyous moment for the Mt.Elgon born and raised boy as the largest business outlet Khetias Supermarket donated some goods to aid him as he joins his dream school Kabsabet Boys high school.
Among goods donated to him included detergents, food stuffs and cleaning stuffs that will aid him in school.
The shopping voucher and hamper was witnessed by a Bungoma based human rights activist Philip Wekesa who lauded the outlet for standing with the student.
“Am very greatiful with the kind heart of business Iwners, we are happy that they have reduced the burden that was facing his parents, at least they have put a smile on his face,” he said.
Ndiema who hails from Chelebei in Chepyuk Ward, Kopsiro sub county lauded the outlet for supporting him at the time of need.
“My parents are peasant farmers and are unable to raise my school fees am optimistic that the county government through the governor’s scholarship will come to my aid,” he said.
He added, “Am calling on other good Samaritans to help me realize my dream, I would like to pursue my education so that I will be of value in the society in thee coming years,”.
Khetias Supermarket Managing Director Ashok Khetia stated that it was a genuine case that deserved help.
“We value Education and as such the beneficiary deserved assistance to pursue it, as an outlet we will support such cases,” said Ashok.
The giant Khetias Supermarkets has branches in Bungoma, Kitale, Busia, Eldoret and Nairobi.
