Bar owners and drunkards have been dealt a blow after President Uhuru Kenyatta announced that Bars should operate up 7Pm.

Initially Bars in the Kenyan territory were operating from morning up to 9pm as earlier announced by President Kenyatta himself.

This is in a bid to contain the spread of the deadly global pandemic Coronavirus.

Speaking during the labour day celebration at State House the head of state also announced the opening of eateries while at the same time opening the cessation of movement in the five red counties that had initially been locked down.

They were Nairobi, Machakos, Kajiado, Kiambu and Nakuru.

Uhuru also announced to lift the curfew hours from in the locked down counties from 8pm to 10pm and the same will come to an end at 4am.

“All learning institutions including Universities will reopen as earlier communicated, no changes at all,” he said.

Schools are set to reopen on May 10 for the third term after 2020 was entirely affected.

Churches and other gatherings will still observe the earlier directive to stop the spread of the disease.
