8,000 Huduma Namba Cards Uncollected In Kanduyi

Over 8,000 huduma namba cards lie uncollected in Kanduyi division a government official has said.

The integrated cards are set to replace the single identification cards (ID) and will also reduce the number of cards being carried by an individual.

Kanduyi Division Assistant County Commissioner Abdishakur Swaleh Ali urged area residents to visit his office and pick their Huduma Namba cards.

“We have many cards lying idle in our office in Kanduyi market, am calling in area residents to visit our office to pick their cards, let’s make haste,” he said.

Ali added, “Alternatively residents should visit Huduma centres, Chiefs and their assistants offices to check on the status of their Huduma Nambas to enable them pick and reduce the backlog,”.

He called on those who have received messages to pick their cards to unable others also take theirs.

The government registered Kenyans for the huduma namba to decentralize the services through a single card to reduce one carrying several cards.

Huduma namba is a single card that includes, NHIF, NSSF, Passport and bank cards in one.
