Mukhisa Dismisses Wetang’ula on 2022 Luhya Unity, Says his Eyes are set for State House

A 2022 presidential candidate Dr.Mukhisa Kituyi has dismissed Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula over his call for unity of the Luhya leaders.

The former United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Secretary General said that he has only one bullet and is not ready for any pact.
“Wetang’ula should understand that based on my age I got only one bullet to use in 2022, am not ready for any unity with any leader,” said the 65 years Kituyi.
He reiterated that based on his age and the international experience he has, he is based suited to lead this country in 2022.
“With the age factor I got no time for Luhya leaders pact, am focused on winning the presidency in 2022 and nothing else,” he said.
Speaking on Saturday during the burial of his uncle Peter Watangwa in Matili village, Kimilili constituency, Kituyi called on the Luhya community to support his Presidential bid.

“Please it is my first shot at the presidency, support my bid so that the country can also have the first Luhya leader at State House,” he said.
Kituyi was responding to Wetang’ula who had asked him to join him and Musalia to stop divisions in Luhya land.
“I have agreed to work together with ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, am calling on our brother Mukhisa Kituyi to join us so that we can produce one strong Presidential candidate,” said Wetang’ula.

The Bungoma senator called on Kituyi to join them so that they can produce one strong candidate, who will be supported by other regions.
“If Kituyi joins me and Mudavadi, we will agree on the way forward and any one that will be picked will be supported fully instead of us producing many candidates that will be defeated at the initial stages,” said Weta.
