Wanami Wamboka Foundation Continues to Boost Education Through Bursary Issuance in Bumula.


Bumula politician and philanthropist Jack Wanami Wamboka has continued to release bursary funds to needy and bright students in Bumula constituency.

The bursary is part of the Wanami Wamboka foundation bursary kitty that will have seen Sh2.2 million disbursed to 300 needy cases in the expansive constituency.

Wamboka stated that education is the only equalizer in the society that will see children from poor backgrounds making it in life.

While condoling with Kimaeti residents at Nakalila village during the burial of the late Nancy Adhiambo Kolia who succumbed to Cancer, Wamboka settled the entire year school fees for a partial orphaned student at Machwele secondary school Felistus Nyongesa and a daughter to Mzee Charles Nyongesa Murutu.

Wamboka later proceeded to condole with residents of Burangasi and Namatotoa where he also paid fees for more students including Ann Wafula of St Marys’ Kimatuni secondary school. 

Ann is a needy partial orphan of the late Simiyu Matere of Burangasi village and had dropped out of school due to lack of money. 

“I paased through hell while studying during my days, I feel for needy students who would have dropped out due to lacking money and that’s why I partnered with my friends to help them stay in school, am pained whenever I see a bright student being send home,” he said.

Wamboka later joined West Fm salaams club members in Namusasi village, Khasoko ward in a fund drive function towards the purchase of tents.

He congratulated West Fm family for the noble economic activities that they are undertaking in the community towards poverty eradication.

In line with his agenda which includes education, food security and health, Wamboka pledged to partner with West Fm family which is carrying out similar activities to see to it that most of Bumula people benefit a lot. 

In the same function, he received Mr Sifuna Edward Machukhu (Bonny) who decamped from the area Mp Mwambu Mabongah’s camp to Wamboka’s camp.

Mr Sifuna has been Mwambu’s co-ordinator in Namusasi village for a long time.
