A Bumula politician and philanthropist Jack Wanami Wamboka has showcased that he cares for humanity by helping two bright but poverty stricken students.

The duo who echool in two different secondary schools could not hide their joy as they received cash to clear their entire year fees.
Speaking at Cardinal Maurice Otunga Tabuti Sub Parish Church in Bumula constituency, Wamboka said that poverty should not be a hindrance to some children not achieving what they desire in life.

He spoke while handing over the cash that cleared the fees for Amos Simiyu of Lumboka Secondary School and Michael Waswa of Mateka Secondary School in South Bukusu Ward.
“It is the heart that gives that receives, I had received reports about the duo that despite the high poverty level, they were still determined to make it in life,” said Wamboka.
He attributed the high poverty level in the region to poor planning and electing leaders who are not ready to help the electorates.
“Am just complimenting NG-CDF and County ward bursary, we are not competing in any way, am just giving back to the society through my small way,” he said.

Wamboka called on the beneficiaries to now concentrate in their class work so that they can realize their dreams in future.
At the same time Wamboka also presented a TSC employment letter to Calistus Kundu who will immediately report to his new work station.
Wamboka who was the guest of honour also helped to raise funds for the church construction.
“Helping in constructing God’s house is a nice thing for me, I will contribute the little I have to see this church is complete and the congregation worships in a nice place,” he said.
Wamboka will soon roll-out distribution of bursary funds to 150 bright but needy students in the expansive constituency.

The Sh2.2 million to cater for high school students and those in tertiary institutions has been sourced from Wanami Wamboka Foundation and partners.
