David Kibiti along time teacher and public servant has declared his interest in the forthcoming Kabuchai by-election following the death of the area Mp James Lusweti.

Kibiti born and bred in Kibichori Mukuyuni Ward, he has been crisscrossing the vast region selling his manifesto to local voters to consider electing him during the March 4 by-election.

He is vying on United Green Movement and is among over eight candidates fighting to clinch the seat and represent area residents in parliament in the remaining one year before the 2022 general elections.

So far Majimbo Kalasinga will fly the Ford Kenya ticket, Evans Kakai of United Democratic Alliance, Amos Wekesa of Federal Party of Kenya, Independent candidates Peter Kapanga and Gasper Waffubwa among others.

Kibiti’s campaign manifesto include;

Education: Will ensure access to education for all by supporting school infrastructure and educational programs through CDF and other appropriate interventions

Health Care: Will work for better health care ‘Huduma Bora ya afya Kabuchai’.

Infrastructure: Will address the challenge of poor road networks.

Talents: Encourage youths to develop their sporting talents

Employment: Encourage youths, women groups,CBOs to engage in economic activities to create jobs.

Agribusiness: Grow value chain engagements in the fight against poverty.

Insecurity: To partner with law enforcement agencies and Nyumba Kumi to deal with insecurity matters.

Hon.Kibiti’s Education Profile and Work Experience

Hon.Kibiti attended Kibichori FYM primary school, joined Nyang’ori high school for his ‘O’ level and then Chesamisi high school for his ‘A’ level education.

He holds a certificate in teacher education, Diploma in Education linkages, BED degree from University of Nairobi and a Master of Education Kiswahili from Kibabii University.

Kibiti is a career educationist who is widely travelled with a stint in teaching experience in the UK (2010 and 2013) on education Exchange program.

Finally, he was appointed Chief Officer Public Administration in the pioneer County Government of H.E Hon Ken Lusaka in 2013. He ended his journey in the civil service in February 2018 as an accomplished Administrator and the servant of the people, a home grown worker.
