Mukhisa Kituyi announces to run for Presidency in 2022


United Nations Conference on Trade and Development(UNACTAD) Secretary General Mukhisa Kituyi has announced to go for Presidency in 2022.

He now joins scores of other leaders including Deputy President William Ruto, ODM party leader Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi who have shown interest to compete for the house in the hill.
They are fighting to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta whose term comes to an end in 2022 after serving his two terms of five years each having been elected for the first time in 2013.

Mukhisa who is serving a powerful United Nations position says he has the ability and the will to serve Kenyans having gained enough experience internationally.
He said his Presidency will address the vulnerability of Kenyans, address their problems and make sure that the economy improves.

Addressing the press in Bungoma town on January 2, 2021, Mukhisa averred that no body was born a leader but one has to fight for it.

“It is no longer a secret, I will be going for presidency in 2022, no body should tell us on whom to support, we need a President who will save this country and salvage Kenyans from bad economy,” said Mukhisa.
The former powerful minister during President Mwai Kibaki’s regime stated that he is ready to compete with his rivals so that he can get the mantle to lead Kenyans.
The 65 years old, pointed out that Kenyans are facing a lot of problems and it is time they got a leader who will revive it’s economy and improve their livelihoods.

Mukhisa who’s term comes to an end in mid this year has already set his eyes on the Presidency and is already crisscrossing the country meeting key people as he plans to constitute his team.
