A Parliamentary aspirant in the forthcoming Kabuchai constituency by-election has pulled out of the Kabuchai constituency by-election.
Juma Mukhwana has moved out following what has been believed to be a shambolic nomination.
Mukhwana claimed that he is no longer interested in the by election because of the of the shambolic nominations.
“I was a top contender for the Kabuchai parliamentary seat in 2013, but I have however pulled out of the by election,” said Dr.Mukhwana.
It is believed that FK party leader Moses Wetang’ula has already endorsed Majimbo Kalasinga and forwarded his details to IEBC.
Dr. Mukhwana averred that the party leadership wants to pick somebody whom they can micromanage and not a development conscious leader like him.
“I can’t be duped to keep waiting for the nominations to take place in Ford Kenya, claims are rife that already Kalasinga has been nominated and has the certificate,” he said.
He added, “They just want to use us to sanitize the nomination process but they have already settled on Kalasinga, this is reason why I have to move out with a lightening speed,” said Mukhwana.
The area legislator James Lusweti passed away in Nairobi where he had been admitted as battled arthritis and was buried on December 19, 2020 in his Sanandiki village home.
Mukhwana vied for the Bungoma county senatorial seat on Jubilee party in 2017 and came second to Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula.
He is currently the director general and Chief Executive Officer Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA).
Kabuchai constituency has attracted Aspirants like Evans Kakai, Majimbo Kalasinga, Juma Mukhwana, Peter Kapanga, Gassiper Wafubwa, DCC Erick Wanyonyi amongst others and party issues will determine the winner.
