Bungoma leaders tell off Raila over Chebukati resignation remark

The Luhya leaders have scoffed at ODM party leader Raila Odinga for calling for the axing of IEBC commissioners.

Led by Kiminini Mp Chris Wamalwa and his Kimilili counter part Didmus Barasa, the leaders called on Odinga stop plans and let the Commissioners led by its Chairman carry in with their work.
“It is just the other day that the BBI signatures was taken to IEBC  headquarters for verification and the budget given to them, how then can you ask for their resignation,? ” posed Wamalwa.
Speaking during the burial of Kabuchai Mp James Lusweti in Bungoma, the legislators said that Odinga is never understood and that is why BBI must be defeated.
Kimilili Mp Didmus Barasa challenged Rails to stop undermining the commissioners and let them work independently.
“Odinga is not a government employee to to force anyone to go he, IEBC commissioners are doing a good job and they should be left alone,” said the law maker
He pledged to lead the anti BBI meetings in Bungoma county to ensure it fails.

“BBI has nothing good for Kenyans, we can’t pass it to help a few people have different problems that should be addressed before it is passed,” he stated.

Odinga took issue with the electoral agency commissioners for demanding too much for the signatures verification.
“They are demanding too much for the verification of the signatures. The agency was demanding for Sh241 million while the treasury released Sh93. 7 million.
