MBCI Radio rocks the airwaves as it expands its frequency to Western and Nyanza regions


MBCI radio station based in Nakuru town is rocking the airwaves and has expanded its frequency to Western and Nyanza regions.

The Gospel station under the auspices of Mission to the Board of Christ International addresses all areas of life but from a biblical perspective.

Speaking to Horizon News, the station manager Cate Kulo stated that apart from the TV station, their listeners in other parts of the country will also start enjoying their other programs through radio.

“We got quite unique and appealing program lined up for you, tune in have fun with our highly trained and informed journalists who will take you through all the life issues and what touches on you and your family,”she said.

She added, “We have been on air since 2015 in Nakuru, Meru, Nyeri, Kitui, Kericho, Eldoret. A week ago we expanded to Western and Kisii,”

MBCI is highly rated in terms of  professional presentation, programming, content and clear signals. 

“We prioritize development, knowledge empowerment to our audience, cohesion, human interest stories that influence positive behavior and positive change,” she said.

Kulo added, “We offer unique entertainment that promote local talent and radio theatre that brings together and unites people from different cultural background. Our primary target audience are both men and women aged 18-49 years and our secondary target are men and women aged 50-69yrs both living in rural and urban areas,”.

Kulo who is a veteran Journalists having worked with several, Radio and TV station credits herself in running gospel shows having done a wonderful job while working with Nyota TV and Radio.

“We got an interesting programming that will keep you glued to MBCI Radio, make a date with us, we will educate, sensitize and enrich your soul with the word of God and other life touching programs” she said.

MBCI Radio presenters include Mangicho Mila and Enaeli who will be hosting a breakfast show dubbed macheo, while Jacinta Githenya will be hosting Kiti Moto which is a mid morning show, 

Faith Mwema and Comedian professor miky miky will be entertaining you on drive show.

David Munene will be driving you crazy on the back to the cross an evening show every Monday to Friday.

On Saturday we have David King hosting saved and sound show which targets millions of youths then he will be followed by Kaka Steve Warambo on Yada show, while brother Paul Kagi will be hosting the Eagle’s show.

Cate Kulo who is the head of Radio will also double up as the head and in-charge of content creation.
