Busia County Gov’t To Tarmack Access Roads In Various Towns Across The Devolved Unit

The County Government of Busia through the Infrastructure and Energy Department is set to upgrade certain access roads in selected towns across the county to bitumen standards.

This was confirmed by Infrastructure and Energy Executive  Okwara Ekirapa during a Pre-tender site visit to the roads, noting that the department will be  very close with the projects as it is a life changer to the communities of the towns in question.
The Roads to be tarmacked include  Amagoro Primary-Aleles-Eden Rock Road, Adungosi Market Access Road, Funyula Town CBD Roads and Bumala Market Backstreet Road.
The 3.7km project will open up access to the different Social facilities around the selected areas with other remaining towns targeted in the next financial year.

The CECM was accompanied by Chairperson Public Works and Roads Committee in the County Assembly and Marachi West MCA Hon.John Oganga who lauded  the Governor for initiating a historic Project which will transform Busia County.
