Infotrak ranks Kimilili Mp Didmus Barasa top performer, Bumula Mp the worst in Bungoma

Barasa is a first time youthful Jubilee Mp who was elected into parliament in 2017 after defeating Suleiman Murunga of Ford Kenya.

Kimilili Mp Didmus Barasa has been rated the best performing legislator in terms of development while Bumula’s Mwambu Mabongah was rated the worst performing Mp in Bungoma County.

Mabongah was ranked position nine and the last one by the pollster at 47.9 percent.

The research conducted by Infotrak polister showed Barasa having topped the list as the best performing Mp owing to his development agenda in Kimilili constituency.

The law maker has been phenomenal in phasing out grass thatched houses in his constituency and replacing them with iron sheets ones and also is facing out mud walled classes and building storeyed classes using National Government-Constituency Development Funds.

According to the survey released on Sunday September 27, Barasa was ranked at 66.5 percent followed closely with Mt Elgon Mp Fred Chesebe Kapondi at 56.4 percent.

The third position was taken by the embattled Ford Kenya Secretary General Eseli Simiyu of Tongaren constituency at 56.3 percent just a point below Mr.Kapondi.

Despite the fact that the jailed Sirisia Mp John Waluke who was found guilty of corruption claims in the NCPB scandal alongside his accused friend Grace Wakhungu, he still managed to clinch number four slot at 55.2 percent.

The fifth slot was taken by Kabuchai Mp James Lusweti with 53.2 percent for having utilized well the government funds send to his constituency.

Lusweti was closely followed by Alfred Sambu Mp Webuye East who was ranked sixth at 53.1 percent while his Webuye West counterpart Daniel Wanyama was ranked seventh at 49.2 percent.

Kanduyi Mp Wafula Wamunyinyi was ranked the second last at position eight at 48.2 percent and only defeated Mabongah of Bumula constituency.

Wamunyinyi is currently locked up in Ford Kenya supremacy battle with Bungoma Senator on who is the bonafide party leader the matter that has trickled to the corridors of justice.
