Child who has not passed stool for four months seeking help in Busia

A distressed family in Ekisumo village in Busia County is seeking support from well-wishers to help raise a medical bill for their 6-month-old son who has not passed stool for the last four months.

The family is unable to raise a medical bill of Sh 500,000 for correctional surgery at Moi Teaching and Referral hospital (MTRH).

Catherine Akinyi, the mother of the infant said his son cannot urinate or pass stool since he was born.

This is despite medics at the Busia referral hospital recommending some drugs for the kid but that did not work.

She was referred to MTRH- Eldoret for further checkup but due to financial constraints, saying she failed to raise the required amount and is now forced to stay home with his sickling child.

His father, Paul Onyango said they have not had sleep occasioned by excruciating pain their child is undergoing daily with fear they might lose him if the conditioned is not treated.

They are appealing to well-wishers and the government to come to their aide.

They can be reached on 0742098792 or countysplashtv@gmail.com.

Marachi West MCA Patrick Obuyu urged the hospital to admit the boy as family plans to raise the money.
